In addition to determining the root cause of a failure or design deficiency, EME is capable of producing the custom parts, components, and systems necessary to correct. One example of this capability is the modification to the generator rotor leads, which were found to be failing due to inadequate support in the radial direction. EME analyzed the installed design, demonstrated that the failure mechanism was consistent with the metallurgical evaluation of failed parts, and provided replacement hardware which addressed the failure mechanism.
